The Price of Truth
Q: Why, like other spiritual masters around the world, don’t you ask to be paid for your teachings?
A: I am not like them. One does not sell the Lord’s teachings for money. If one sells a teaching for money, it would not be a divine teaching anymore.
Q: Do you mean your teachings are free?
A: The price of divine teachings is you. I only change my teachings with you; as long as you do not give up yourself, you would not receive any teachings.
Faith is sometimes against Belief
Q: Master, I believe in you; why am I not among your close students?
A: You do not believe.
Q: But I really do believe in you.
A: If you truly believed in me, you would have accepted my words and you would have believed me when I told you, “You do not believe”. Yet, you contradicted me; you, therefore, do not believe in me. As long as I do not speak or do any move against you beliefs, you believe in me; and that is not to believe.
The Roots of Disease and Healing
Q: Could cure my illness?
A: The Lord has assigned a proper channel to everything. Even God’s messengers had sought medical helps. You should also do the same.
Q: You are also a doctor and you could heal me.
A: I am a doctor of soul and spirit. The root of every disease lies within human being. I am not much interested in curing the appearance [of a disease] and eliminating its symptoms. One has to cure its roots and treats it at its very basis. One has to understand symptoms [of a disease] and receive their message instead of repressing or being indulgent towards them.
Q: But you have healed a friend of mine.
A: It is not so. He was healed because of his love and his faith. The Spirit of God is the only healer and no one else. Only the Spirit of God can heal and no one else.
Q: Master, help me; I desperately need you help.
A: I shall help you but not the way you expect me to or by means you believe I would. I shall treat your most important problem – a major problem bringing about your other present problems.
Awe and Amazement
Q: Sometimes while listening to you I feel amazed. What is the significance of this amazement?
A: Amazement and wonder may be signs of our contact with the world of mysteries and the inner dimension of this world. When one’s consciousness comes into direct or indirect contact with the ocean of unknown mysteries it falls short of any explanation and can but be amazed and wondered.
Q: Is this a good amazement?
A: The prophet of Islam – God’s peace be upon him, used to pray, “O my Lord, add to my amazement”.
Experience of Silence
Q: How can I find silence?
A: Try to realize you are in the Divine Presence. When the Beloved talks the lover keeps a breathless silence.
Q: How?
A: Listen to the depth of your being.
